A living frontier
Prototype snapshot: the named systems below were retired on August 31, 2026. The current universe uses generated regions and data-driven security.
The cluster keeps working when no player is watching.
Civilian miners travel to ore and crystal fields, fill real cargo holds, and return to station supply. Haulers move that supply between jobs. Their journeys advance at full fidelity near players and at a cheaper abstract cadence far away, then materialize back into the same durable ship when observation matters again.
The world is not uniformly friendly. Hollow Crown wings stage from Gamma and raid across the gate chain. In Alpha and Beta, Starward Vigil sentries watch the gates and launch responders when violence creates an incident. Safe space is enforced, not invulnerable: weapons still work, crimes have consequences, and wrecks can leave cargo for somebody else to salvage.
That traffic gives mining, hauling, combat, and contracts a shared world to point at. The economy is not a painted backdrop; ships are out there doing the work.
